About Celia Moore
Author of FOX HALT FARM, Celia Moore, left the small farm in Devon where she grew up for a career as a Chartered Surveyor working in the City district of London.
In 2000, she left the office life behind to start a new adventure as an outdoor instructor teaching rock climbing, mountaineering, canoeing and even skiing, archery, rifle shooting and mountain biking.
Celia managed an outdoor residential centre until she met her husband, and now she is concentrating on gardening for a few lovely customers, running and writing.
Born fifty years ago, Celia has been creative ever since – from explaining why there are no chocolate biscuits left when visitors arrive, to writing glowing particulars for ugly properties – from encouraging people to have a go at a scary abseil to oil painting and writing. She loves it all but especially the writing!
Celia’s debut novel FOX HALT FARM is a change-of-life contemporary romance set mostly in Devon and London over two decades.
Although her novel is inspired by her life, and some of the experiences along the way, it is all a fiction. Her emotive book is about characters who jumped into her mind one fateful night at the beginning of the year – scarred and imperfect soles who wouldn’t leave her alone until she created them an enthralling story!
… And now she is busy planning publication in November 2017 while also training hard for the London Marathon in April 2018.
